Biography

Singer Guadalupe Raventos was born in Buenos Aires in the ‘70s. Lullabop was her first swing group, with which she released an album. After this experience, she moved to New York, where she studied with Mark Murphy and Sheila Jordan and sang at clubs alongside Herbie Hancock, James Carter, Freddie Hubbard and John Benitez. Once back in Buenos Aires, she formed a quintet with Sebastián Valsecchi (guitar), Rodrigo Reparaz (drums), Ezequiel Dutil (double bass) and Santiago de Francisco (tenor sax). Her discography includes At Last (1995), Thamgo City (2001), Mala perra (2005) and Lady (2011).
