Biography

Pianist Paula Shocron was born in Rosario, in 1980. She gained recognition for her first album, La voz que te lleva (BlueArt), a solo piano tribute to Thelonious Monk. She has performed with her trio at different international festivals, in the concert series of Contrabaix, at the Catalonian Jamboree and Terrassa Jazz Cava. She currently leads a 12-piece ensemble, a standards trio and a folk-based duo. Her discography includes Percepciones, Urbes (BlueArt), Homenaje (Sony), El Enigma and Gran Ensamble (Acqua). She participated in Buenos Aires Inferno (SJazz EMI) and Lucía Pulido’s Song Book (BAU).
