Biography
Pianist Albert Bover was born in Barcelona in 1964. He has played with Perico Sambeat, Eladio Reinón, Art Farmer, Harold Land, Ed Thigpen, Seamus Blake, Eddie Henderson, Jesse Davis, Ralph Moore, Dick Oatts, Donald Harrison, Eddie Marshall, Sonny Fortune, Ken Peplowski, Sheila Jordan, Idris Muhammad, Antoine Rooney, Scott Hamilton, Bennie Green, Gary Willis, Randy Brecker, Al Foster, Dave Schnitter, Seamus Blake, Mark Turner, Benny Golson, Mike Kaupa, Bob Stoloff, Alvin Queen, Ray Drumond, Harry Allen, Jerry Gonzalez, Chano Domínguez, Albert Sanz, Javier Colina, Guillermo McGill, Chris Kase, Marc Miralta, Andrejz Olejniczak, Bob Sands, Llibert Fortuny, Raynald Colom, Dani Pérez, Martí Serra, Carlos Barreto, Anthony Kerr, François Theberge, Julian Argüelles, Peter King, Gerard Presencer, Michael Nielsen, Alan Skidmore, Jean Toussaint, Deborah Brown, Louis Stewart, Stephen Keogh and Vasco Agostinho. He currently plays in a duo with Horacio Fumero, in a trio with Masa Kamaguchi and David Xirgu, and in the bands led by Gorka Benítez, Vicente Espí and Julian Vaughn. He has collaborated with flamenco musicians such as Chicuelo and Miguel Poveda and in a traditional Andalusian music fusion project led by Dris Al-Maloumi. He recorded Esmuc Blues (2004), Old Bottle, New Wine (1999) and Albert Bover trio Live in Jamboree (1998) as a leader and Dúo and Caminhos Cruzados in a duo with Horacio Fumero.
