Biography

In 2009, Mexican pianist Mark Aanderud and Argentine drummer Hernán Hecht got together to create Mole, a musical collective of stylistically different artists featuring Tim Berne, Eli Degibri, Rick Parker, Jonathan Kreisberg, Aaron Cruz, Gavin Fallow, Ricky Rodriguez, Agustín Bernal and RHA Trío, among others. Mole Quartet is one of the by-products of this large collective; it was formed in 2009, after recording their first album, What’s the Meaning (2011). American guitarist David Gilmore and Mexican double bassist Luri Molina complete this quartet.
