Biography

Harmonicist and trombonist Francisco Salgado was born in Buenos Aires in 1978. He studied with Ernesto Jodos and Enrique Norris. He is currently a student in the jazz program at the Conservatorio Manuel de Falla. He performed many times at the BAJ: in 2009, with Juan Cruz de Urquiza’s band; in 2011, with Valentín Reiners and American trumpeter Charles Tollivier, and with Proyecto Orgánico Rave. He has also played in Hernán Merlo’s XL9tet and in the Paula Shocron Gran Ensamble. He released two albums with Underground Mafia Trío and recorded Los ritos del sueño with Proyecto Orgánico Rave.
