Biography
Pianist and composer Cirilo Fernández was born in Switzerland but grew up in Buenos Aires. Having earned a scholarship, he graduated from Berklee. In Boston, he got the Herb Pomeroy award and the Millikan scholarship. His music has been played at the Umbria, Berna, Maine and New Hampshire jazz festivals. He has performed with Daniel Piazzolla, Nicolás Sorín, Mariano Sívori, Alvin Queen, Reggie Johnson, Julio Barreto, Oscar Stagnaro, Duduka da Fonseca, Phil Maturano, Nilson Matta, Kim Thompson, Massimo Biolcatti, Jesús Santandreu and Ferenc Nemeth. His albums are: Snap to Reverse, Bern it Down, Flan, Elbou and Triathlon.
