Biography

Double bass player Milton Russell was born in Chile in 1990. He studied with Carlos Arenas, Moncho Romero, Claudio Rubio and Jorge Díaz. He has played with Sebastián Jordán, Martín Joseph, Christian Gálvez and singers Nicole Bunout and Rossana Saavedra, among others. He has participated at different Latin American jazz festivals, such as those in Mercedes (Uruguay), in Garanhuns and Recife (Brazil) and in Puerto Montt and Las Condes (Chile). Russell is currently a member of FM Groove, Pacific Ensemble, Nicolás Vera’s Pacífico sextet and the quintets of Claudio Rubio and violinist Hugo Díaz.
