Biography

Pianist Diego Schissi was born in Buenos Aires in 1969. He studied at the Carlos López Buchardo National Conservatory and the University of Miami, and with Ana Stampalia and Manolo Juárez. In the United States, he played with Tito Puente and Maria Schneider, among others. Upon his return, he played in the Orquesta Escuela de Tango and released Jazz Contemporáneo Argentino 1 y 2 with Quinteto Urbano. In 2008, he released Tren, his first solo album. As leader of a quintet, he recorded Tongos and toured America and Europe. He has played with Leo Maslíah, Susana Rinaldi and Andrés Linetzky, among many other musicians.
