Biography

Singer and composer Roxana Amed was born in Buenos Aires. She won a Martín Fierro as songwriter in 2001. Her first albums are Limbo and Entremundos. In 2009, she produced La voz más allá, a DVD featuring acclaimed local artists. In 2010, she released Cinemateca finlandesa with Adrián Iaies, with pieces by Amed, Monk and Cuchi Leguizamón, and Inocencia, including folk classics. In 2011, she recorded on El desembarco in a duo with León Gieco. In 2012, she appeared on the tribute album to Luis Alberto Spinetta. And in New York, she produced La sombra de su sombra, with text by Alejandra Pizarnik and music by pianist and composer Frank Carlberg.
