Ricardo Carpena is a journalist and music critic for local newspaper La Nación. He has been listening to jazz since his boyhood, banging the drums for it since his teens and writing about it since twelve years ago when, as chief of the Arts & Entertainment section of that paper, he created a steady segment for reviews and articles on record releases.
Born in 1961, he is an amateur journalist since age 13 and a professional one since age 21. At present, despite being chief of the Politics section, he writes about his true passion: music, and, especially, jazz.
