Estrellas Argentinas de Jazz

Founded in 2005, this group is made up of Ernesto D’amico –trumpet–, Juan Carlos Bazán –clarinet–, Miguel Piccolo –trombone–, Manuel Fraga –piano–, Héctor Basso –double bass–, Enrique Calabrese –drums– and Cecilia Escudero –vocals–. In 1991 and 1992, the same formation under the name Argentina All Stars performed in theatres of the city of Mar del Plata and received the award Estrella de Mar for “Best Dixieland Jazz Band”. Their style is that of Chicago’s dixiland, their greatest influence being Eddie Condon and his orchestra.
