Mauro Senise's biography
The flutist and saxophonist Mauro Senise studied classic flute. He played and recorded with Hermeto Pascoal, Egberto Gismonti –with whom he performed in Europe–, Wagner Tiso and Luis Eça. He has recorded six albums with the group Cama de Gato. In August 1998, he performed at the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival in Finland as a solo artist, interpreting pieces from Radamés Gnatalli and Heitor Villa-Lobos. He performed as a solo artist with the Brazilian Symphonic Orchestra and at the Lincoln Center with the American flutist Paula Robinson in a concert dedicated to Pixinguinha, directed by the guitarist Romero Lubambo.
