Gilson Peranzzetta 's biography
The pianist, composer and arranger Gilson Peranzzetta worked with Nana Caymmi, Roberto Menescal, Leny Andrade, Simone, Gal Costa, Elizete Cardoso and Edu Lobo among other Brazilians with international projection. He also worked in Love Dance and Setembro, by Ivans Lins. His music was recorded by Sarah Vaughan, George Benson, Patti Austin, Jack Jones, Terence Blanchard, Dianne Schurr, Quincy Jones, Toots Thielemans, Shirley Horn and recently by Barbra Streisand. He was invited by the WDR Big-Band in Cologne, Germany, to arrange and direct Brazilian music shows for the German network WDR. He composed the soundtrack of Everest, a Brazilian conquest by Valdemar Niclevski. His song “Setembro” was included in Boys’n the Hood, the movie by John Singleton.
