Biography

Pianist Sergio Gruz settled in Paris in 1993. He has played in several festivals and clubs in Europe. Besides working as a solo artist and sideman, he has written music for dance and theater. His last project, Carrousel, with Juan Sebastián Jiménez and Antoine Banville, combines folk and jazz. He composed the score for the movies Terapias alternativas and SOS ex, and also wrote a piece for brass band and jazz quartet premiered at the 2006 Nancy Jazz Festival. His albums include Laberinto and Carrousel, in trio, and Ensemble.
