 Pepi Taveira 's biography

Pepi Taveira is one of the most important referents of the jazz drummers in Argentina and has been the teacher of most of the nowadays drummers. He played with Walter and Javier Malosetti, Jorge Navarro, Horacio Larumbe, Fats Fernandez, Norberto Minichillo, Pablo Bobrowicky, Ricardo Cavalli, Carlos Lastra, Ernesto Jodos and Armando Alonso, among others. He made numerous tours and concerts in Argentina, United States, Spain, France, Switzerland, Italy, Canary Islands and Uruguay along with Clark Terry, Delfeayo Marsalis, Danilo Pérez, Ron McClure, Karl Miklin and Erling Kroner. Nowadays, apart from being part of Adrián Iaies Trío, he heads his own quartet as composer and arranger- focused on music with Afro-American roots-, with which he has released several records.
