Biography

 Luca Bulgarelli's biography

This double bass player was born in 1972. He graduated in classic double bass at the Campobasso Conservatory and then in jazz under the guidance of the great Furio Di Castri. He has been requested for tours and recordings by many European and North American artists such as Kenny Wheleer, Toots Thielemans, George Garzone, Mundell Lowe, Enrico Rava, Roberto Gatto, Gunther Schuller and Bob Mintzer. He has played all around Italy and Israel and in the cities of New York, Budapest, Montreal and Hamburg.
He is also a requested recording and mastering technician and several of his projects explore music with electronic variations. Currently, he works as a teacher at the Università della Musica (Rome).
