Biography

Double bass player Kike Harker began to study electric bass in Bogotá in 1999. After playing with the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Colombia, he joined the quintet Kinder Jazz, with which he performed in the concert series of the Universidad Tadeo Lozano, at the Oriol Rangel auditorium and in the tenth edition of Festival Jazz al Parque, in Bogotá. In 2006, the Escuela Fernando Sor awarded him a scholarship to study at the Escuela de Música Contemporánea in Buenos Aires. He has played with Antonio Arnedo Cuarteto, Tico Arnedo Cuarteto, Tres Butacas, Kike Mendoza and Suricato, among others.
