Biography
Pianist Miguel Marengo was born in Buenos Aires in 1980. Currently, he leads a septet that explores African folk music, its traditional rhythms and instrumentation. He is a member of the Elefante collective. He guested on studio albums by Bárbara Martínez’s quartet, the Big Band Artistry and Soledad Liebeskind. He has played with Carlos Lastra, Pepi Taveira, Hernán Merlo, Enrique Norris and Juan Cruz de Urquiza, among many others. In 2008, he recorded No te duermas, a trio album with Damián Falcón and Sebastián Groshaus, also featuring guest musician Carlos Lastra.
