Biography

Drummer Fernando Martínez has played with international artists such as Joe Lovano, Eddie Gomez, Scott Henderson, Carlos Franzetti, Charly Bird, Clark Terry, Tom Coster, Rebecca Parris, Conrad Herwig and local figures including Luis Salinas, Ernesto Jodos and Jorge Navarro, among others. He currently leads the Fernando Martínez Jazz Factory. He released two books Funk Grooves for Bass and Funk Grooves for Drums (Advance Music). He recorded and produced Roots of South America, vol. 1 and vol. 2, Elements of South America and Global Percussion (Big Fish Audio).
