Biography

Drummer Eloy Michelini has played with Juan Cruz de Urquiza, Ricardo Cavalli, Diego Urcola, Walter Malosetti, Gustavo Bergalli, Mariano Otero, Horacio Fumero and the Porteña Jazz Band. He has accompanied George Benson with the Buenos Aires Jazz Orchestra in Montreux. He has recorded with James Brown and Maceo Parker, and released a trio album with Ernesto Jodos and Hernán Merlo, dedicated to Lee Konitz, Lennie Tristano and Warne Marsh. He has toured Latin America, Europe and the Caribbean. He now leads a quintet and plays in Paula Shocron’s Standard Trío. With her, he recorded Our Delight and Warm Valley (RivoRecords).
