Viento sur / Sin título (Carta para Serra) / La maleta

Born in 1971 in Asunción del Paraguay, she graduated from Universidad del Cine in Buenos Aires. She directed the short films La siesta (1997), Los encantos de Jazmín (1998), Hamaca paraguaya and Supe que estabas triste (both in 2000), as well as the feature film Paraguayan Hammock (2006), winner of the Fipresci award in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard.

He was born in Buenos Aires in 1975 and studied at Universidad del Cine. He directed the short Dos en la vereda (1995) and, among others, the features Freedom (2001), Los muertos (2004) and Liverpool (2008), all of them screened at Bafici.

Born in 1941 in Puerto Montt, Chile, he settled in France in 1973 and directed more than 200 films. A retrospective of his work was held at Bafici ‘04. The last film of his screened by the festival was Mysteries of Lisbon (2010), in the last edition. He passed away in Paris on August 19th, 2011.
