Synopsis
Born in Buenos Aires, but profoundly Brazilian, Laura has been living for years in Manhattan. The autumn of her life finds her in a squatted building living in a tiny apartment, with one of the rooms literally filled with souvenirs he collects on her tenacious tour through cocktails, inaugurations, and press conferences. Laura moves through the area where journalism protects your needs and audacity. She’s not a fan, but a socialite who looks for media lights to illuminate her through osmosis and feel contained even if the rest of the people ignore her. A lovable mythomaniac who is both nice and demanding, Laura doesn’t see herself in the periphery but rather on a mission, and only she knows the objective. Fellipe Barbosa follows her as she wanders through New York’s night scene, admiring her rhetorical resources and trying to get her to help him –sometimes reluctantly, and others through a hard bargain– form a portrait that would satisfy both her demands and the pretension of truth that is expected from a documentary.
