Synopsis
A couple sits in their living room while the place sets on fire, and they act as if nothing was happening. Lost in their thoughts, they don’t acknowledge the fire that’s progressively burning their furniture and every object around the apartment. It even starts to burn their clothes, but they still don’t react as they should. With an amazing visual development, in which every burned object shows a series of transformations as they slowly start to decompose, Reynolds creates an aesthetics of pyromania, but he also tells the story of a dramatic human conflict surrounding emotional alienation.
