Biography
Guitarist Louis Winsberg was born in Marseille, France, in 1963. He began playing the guitar with his gipsy friends. He created the band Los Reyes and then Gipsy Kings. He has played in a variety of shows with different ensembles: Antoine Illouz, Antoine Hervé, Elisabeth Caumont, Mike Stern, Eddie Gomez, Doky Brothers, Marc Berthoumieux’s quintet, Gino Vanelli, Randy Brecker and Dee Dee Bridgewater. In 1984, he formed Sixun, together with Jean-Pierre Como and Paco Sery. He also created Jaleo. Some of his albums are: Appassionata, Camino, Lunatic Taxi, Nouvelle Vague, Le Bal des Suds and Marseille Marseille.
